Between vineyard and wilderness
Napa Valley is considered one of the premier wine regions in the world. Napa Valley, is also the most legendary wine country in the United States, offers internationally-acclaimed wine tasting, winemakers and wineries.
Skyline Park is an 850-acre wilderness area at the southeast corner of Napa. You can find lots of wildlife, including deer and wild turkeys. The hiking trail leads to Lake Marie at the east end. The hike follow the ridge trail, which is a good workout… It’s not for those out of shape! From this trail on a clear day, you can see San Francisco Bay, Mt. Tamalpais and Mt. Diablo…
Records of commercial wine production in the region date back to the nineteenth century, but premium wine production dates back only to the 1960s. It’s a perfect occasion to taste local wineries without guiltiness.
